Jake Blauvelt is a pro snowboarder who has lived a double life.  He started his career focused on competitions and found himself on a lot of podiums.  Most athletes, with that kind of success would hone their craft and continue to dominate, not Jake.  At around 20, his career shifted fully to the backcountry and he carved out a niche as the young dude who was focused on natural features.  On the podcast we talk about Jake’s life and times and it ends with some great inappropriate questions from legend, Peter Line.

Tricia Byrnes is on the podcast this week…. she’s a wealth of knowledge and a fun interview.  Tricia’s known for her competitive days, she was on the contest circuit for 20 years but these days, she’s organizing the contests and making sure she helps pave the way for the future of the sport.  We talk about her life and times on and off the podium, the future of the sport and some great old stories.    

2005 Transworld Snowboarding ‘Rider of the Year’ Chad Otterstrom is on the podcast.  When you win an award like that in 2005 and you’re a guest on a podcast, it’s usually a 'where are they now'.  That's not the case with Chad.  His pro shred career is still going and now, he’s a brand owner living that desk jockey life, all while remaining a pro rider.

By the time Jim Rippey made it to high school, his goals were clear, he was going to punt in the NFL. When football didn’t work for Jim, he found snowboarding. Within a couple years on a board, Jim was a sponsored rider with Burton, eventually had 7 pro models, was the first to back flip a snowmobile. Then, one day in the Alaska, Jim found god and everything changed for him. Fast forward 15 years and Jim is a man of god, a correctional officer living a completely different life

Anne-Flore Marxer is a lightning rod for change and the first Euro I’ve had on the show, and she’s super Euro..  She spends her life fighting for equality…being the squeaky wheel is something that she’s really good at and I’m sure every event organizer and Team Manager has heard her polite wrath.   On the podcast we talk about her new movie “A Land Shaped by Women, her long snowboard career and her fight for gender equality.    

Dale Rehberg is a living legend in the snowboard world.  In the early 90’s he, and a few other legendary names, brought a style to snowboarding that was visibly influenced by skateboarding.  While not accepted at first, it quickly became the norm and Dale’s fingerprints will forever be tied to the evolution of the sport.  But Dale’s snow story doesn’t stop with being an athlete and we talk about his time on the board, in the boardroom and everything in between. 

Marie-France Roy is a French-Canadian Snowboarder/Activist.  She is very polite, nice, smart, and passionate about making a difference.  Her path to success went from the backwoods of rural Quebec to the booming metropolis of Whistler.  Along the way she has competed, traveled the world, and now, is focused on her true passion, the environment. 

Russell Winfield is back for round two of the podcast.  While a lot of Russell’s snowboarding career was travel and good times, we talk about some of the times that weren’t so fun; the business ventures he was a part of, some of his crazy stories, and his pro model with Offshore Snow Shapes.  It’s another fun one with a legend forefather of snowboarding.  Do not miss this one.
